After losing his wife of 28 years in a skiing accident, widower Lou Chadway (Hal Linden) falls for and marries his daughter's ***y roommate but soon learns that he has absolutely nothing in common with her. Peg Gilford (Anne Meara) is a divorced grandmother who comes along to take Lou's mind off her and they embark on a secret love affair.
